How to sign in to your Rosie account, manage your session, use password reset, and understand anonymous access mode.

Beginner Last updated: 2026-03-05

Signing In

To sign in to Rosie, visit your organization's Rosie site and click Sign In in the navigation bar. Enter the email address and password you set up during account creation, then click the sign-in button.

If your credentials are correct, you will be redirected to the main chat interface with full access to the features available at your access level.

Staying Signed In

After signing in, your session remains active for up to 7 days. During this time, you can close your browser and return to the site without needing to sign in again. Your session is tied to your browser β€” if you switch to a different browser or device, you will need to sign in again.

If your session expires, you will be automatically redirected to the sign-in page the next time you visit. Simply enter your credentials again to start a new session.

Signing Out

To sign out, click your profile or the sign-out option in the navigation menu. Signing out ends your session immediately. This is recommended when using a shared or public computer.

After signing out, you will be returned to the login page. If your organization allows anonymous access, you may still be able to use the chat with limited functionality without signing in.

Forgot Your Password

If you cannot remember your password:

  1. Click Forgot Password? on the sign-in page
  2. Enter the email address associated with your account
  3. Check your email for a password reset link
  4. Click the link and set a new password

The reset link is single-use and expires after a limited time. If it expires before you use it, request a new one from the sign-in page.

Anonymous Access

Some organizations configure Rosie to allow anonymous access. In this mode, you can use the chat interface without signing in. Anonymous users can ask questions and receive answers, but with limitations:

  • Rate-limited β€” you can only submit a limited number of queries per time period
  • No dashboard β€” the dashboard, transaction history, and leaderboard are not available
  • No session memory β€” conversation sessions are not available in anonymous mode
  • No document upload β€” contributing to the knowledge base requires an account
  • Session expiry β€” anonymous sessions expire after a configurable period (typically 24 hours)

If you need access to the full set of features, create an account by joining the waiting list.

Troubleshooting Sign-In

If you are having trouble signing in:

  • Check your email address β€” make sure you are using the same email you registered with
  • Check your password β€” passwords are case-sensitive
  • Use password reset β€” if you are unsure of your password, use the Forgot Password flow rather than guessing
  • Contact your administrator β€” if your account has been suspended or your access level changed, an administrator can help restore access
